English Bulldogs are great for familes

posted Oct 04, 2010 03:11:15 by SelinaSmith
True the English Bulldog was fierce. They were used in violent blood sports like bull and bear bating. Through many years and careful selective breeding, the English bulldog has become a loving loyal pet. They like nothing better than to be by your side, or on your lap. They are not a lap dog because of their weight, but they try to be. I raise my bulldogs around my 4 children, and they are great. If you have ever had trouble with potty time, you won't have it with them. These are not the high energy dogs that are going to dart as soon as they are let outside. In my opinion they are the best. Look for a well bred healthy puppy and you will never be sorry.

Hey Selina.. My Bullies are very smart dogs also.. I have had several breeds throughout my lifetime, and the english bulldog is by far the most lovable of all of them. My dam Daisy is like my child. She always lets me know when she has to go outside to the bathroom, and is very well mannered around strangers. She loves other animals like my two parrots and only barks when I get out her toy duck puppet which quacks and she has a hard time figuring out where the sound is coming from. She plays with alot of different toys, but she has a favorite.. Of course it is a football with a big ole G on it. My puppy Georgia is 5 months old and Daisys pup.. She acts just like her Mama did when she was her age. If you are looking for a longtime friend and constant companion then do yourself a favor and be a part of a bullies life.. You can't go wrong.. Selina keep up the good work.. Allan

Thanks Allan, I hope this can become a source to understanding the English Bulldog breed. I think when someone hears Bulldog, they just have the Pit Bulls in mind. I think they are misunderstood also, but that is another can of worms.lol
